Wound care services currently represent a $4.2 billion market that could potentially grow by 10 percent each year. This rapid growth is largely driven by increases in the populations most susceptible to acquiring chronic wounds, including diabetic patient and those over age 65. The increasing demand for wound care, coupled with favorable reimbursement and a large profit margin, has motivated many hospital administrators to establish outpatient wound care centers. This fast paced and focused conference will provide attendees with a sufficient base of knowledge to decide if their hospital should provide this clinical service to meet the needs of their community and the medical staff. Whether you have a wound center or not, this need still has to be serviced. The question is whether it is done efficiently and effectively using "center based" concepts.
